1967 CHEVROLET CAMARO

OVERVIEW

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro hardtop went through a multi-year mechanical and cosmetic restoration completed in 2019; recent updates include work on the suspension and braking systems. It is powered by a 327ci small-block V8 mated to a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes Rally wheels with Cooper tires, hide-away headlights, a center console, a Bluetooth stereo, and power steering and brakes. Finished in black with a white nose stripe over a black vinyl interior, this first-year Camaro is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior was recoated in black with a white nose stripe as part of the restoration process completed under prior ownership. The driver-side front fender, floor pans, and trunk pan were replaced, and new bolt-on frame connectors were installed along with new body bushings, weatherstripping, and window felts. Exterior features include hide-away headlights, a driver-side mirror, wheel arch moldings, bright rocker panels, a rear spoiler, and a dual exhaust system.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Steel 15-inch Rally wheels with polished trim rings are wrapped in 235/60 Cooper Cobra Radial GT raised-white-letter tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cockpit is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include a center console, a Bluetooth-connected push-button radio with newer speakers, a Hurst shift lever, a heater, an RS-branded steering wheel, and a fold-down rear seat.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation entails a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge, accompanied by two additional Stewart-Warner gauges mounted near the center stack. The five-digit odometer reads 99,795 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 327ci small-block V8 benefits from mechanical work to the fuel system, radiator, and front wiring harness. In addition, the flywheel was balanced and the clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing were replaced. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Steering and braking are both power-assisted. The braking system has been overhauled and equipped with a newer master cylinder and vacuum booster. The front-end components and shock absorbers were replaced during the restoration.
