@Balboa60 – Just a heads up regarding pop rivet VIN tag. If that car ends up in California there could be a problem. Some years ago I purchased a 56 Chevy in Hawaii brought it home to Calif. and DMV spotted the pop rivets and I had to take the car to a Highway Patrol office where they put it up on a lift to verify the VIN. The VIN on my title matched the plate but that was not good enough for California DVM. Not sayin that will happen but if the buyer is in Calif. you might mention this. ...

Wonder what CHIPS does about C2 and C3 Corvettes, they came from the factory with riveted VIN tags. I'm sure they don't have a bunch of experts that know which cars came with riveted VIN tags and which didn't. I can just imagine being pulled over in an original never been restored 65 C2 Coupe and having some "expert" tell me I have an altered VIN.
