OVERVIEW
This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 is powered by a 350ci Oldsmobile V8 backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, a late-model GM independent front suspension clip, and a relocated fuel tank. Finished in a gray and blue patina finish over a black vinyl and cloth interior, this Chevrolet pickup is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear Specially Constructed North Carolina title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior has a weathered blue and gray patina finish. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, headlight visors, a split windshield, a cowl-mounted bottle opener, dual mirrors, custom door logos, a shaved cab-mounted fuel filler neck, a stepside long bed, a wood bed floor with license plate inserts, and accent pinstriping. A walk-around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch light blue Chevrolet Rally wheels with chrome dog dish hub caps and trim rings is wrapped in radial tires with Atlas whitewall inserts.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat is upholstered in black vinyl and cloth, and covered with a red, white, and black blanket. Features include power steering and brakes, manual windows, a column-mounted automatic shifter, a three-spoke steering wheel with a black grip, license plate trim, and accent pinstriping. Tears in the seat are visible in the gallery to the right.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are mounted ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 88,359 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. According to the selling dealer, there is no heat or air conditioning and the fuel gauge, wipers, horn, and turn signals do not work.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci Oldsmobile V8 and backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The chassis has been modified to accept a late-model GM independent front suspension. The original fuel tank has been removed from the cab and a custom fuel tank has been added to the rear of the chassis. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear axle.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The selling dealer charges a $250 documentation fee in addition to the price of the vehicle.
Looks like a fun driver. I’m in the middle of a restoration of a 1948 3600. This looks like a nice next project. Sitting here thinking about it. Thank you for your honesty and reply
@Smokybear – Would you trust this to drive four in a half hour drive home with your daughter. Just want to know how road worthy you think it is. ...
So we didn't do any of the work on this truck and because of that we'd suggest shipping it. Not to say we don't trust it or that it won't make it. There are just too many unknowns to trust it for a 4.5 hour drive. I'd suggest shipping it and then enjoy the truck once it arrives. That way if it does give you any fits you are in the familiarity of your hometown and know who to take it to or what tools of your own to use.
BID: $22,500

We actually just walked out to the truck and looked. The good news is, it's already behind the license plate. I see the photo you are talking about and it looks like there is a filler there, but it's a state seal on the license plate that you are seeing. The filler is currently behind the license plate. But yes, there are various kits to relocate it wherever you would like.
Can’t tell from pics underneath between bumper and fuel tank. Is there a way to remove gas cap from bed and fix it coming out above license plate.
@dsimpala62 – What is the reserve ? ...
The reserve has been met at $22,000. This truck will sell.

Good to meet you, not sure if you are asking for us to call you or the folks at Auto Hunter. But, I can assure you as the seller we are legit and Auto Hunter is a great platform to buy or sell a vehicle. We've sold 2 on here so far, and both were extremely easy to finish everything up on. Unfortunately, we are not able to connect with you directly as the seller of the vehicle. However, if you have questions or comments you can post them here on the listing and we can respond directly. AutoHunter only introduces bidders to the sellers once an auction is won and the buyer's premium has been collected.
