OVERVIEW
This 1953 MG TD is a frame-off restoration that has been with the seller for seven years. It is powered by a 1.3-liter inline-four engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a convertible top with side curtains, fog lights, and a folding windshield. Finished in cream and equipped with a tan top over a ruby red vinyl interior, this MG is available now and comes with a clear Kentucky title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was refinished in cream during the frame-off restoration six years ago. Features include chrome bumpers with bumper guards, a chrome grille with a maroon insert, dual mirrors, a folding four-piece hood, a tan cloth folding convertible top with side curtains and plastic windows, and a color-matched, rear-mounted fuel tank. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver 15-hole steel wheels with MG dog dish hub caps is wrapped in radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The seat, door panels, trim, and dashboard face are upholstered in ruby red vinyl. Features include manual steering and brakes, a floor-mounted manual shifter, a telescoping steering wheel, and a banjo steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and a 6K-rpm tachometer with an integrated clock are located head of the driver. The odometer reads 483 miles, which the seller states is accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 1.3-liter inline-four engine and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include a body-color firewall, an Optima Redtop battery, dual horns, a polished aluminum valve cover and intake, and a black air cleaner. The seller states that an oil change was completed approximately two months ago.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This MG was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual drums. A single-outlet exhaust system exits at the rear.
