OVERVIEW
This 2016 Mercedes-Benz E550 grand touring cabriolet is powered by an M278 biturbo 4.7-liter V8 mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. It was originally sold by Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale, Arizona and in 2020 was relocated to California, where it received a recent battery change, spark plug replacement, and additional maintenance under the seller’s ownership. Equipment includes 18-inch AMG wheels, Burl Walnut wood trim, a navigation system, Airscarf ventilation, and LED lighting. Finished in Mars Red with a black power-retractable top over a Silk Beige leather interior, this A207 E550 is now offered with a CARFAX report and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The Mars Red exterior is capped off with a black power-retractable triple-layer acoustic soft top. Exterior features include LED daytime running lamps, front and rear chrome underbody accents, heated mirrors with color-keyed caps, a trunk-mounted spoiler, a sharkfin antenna, LED taillamps, and dual automatic pop-up roll bars.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Machined aluminum 18-inch AMG twin five-spoke wheels are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The 2+2 interior is furnished with heated and power-adjustable Silk Beige perforated leather bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching trim for the door panels, lower dash, center console, and carpeting. Further amenities include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows and door locks, cruise control, all-weather floor mats, Burl Walnut wood trim, navigation, an AM/FM/CD audio system, automatic climate control, Airscarf ventilation, aluminum door sill plates, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, and a SmartKey remote locking and starting system.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 81,362 miles, which is in line with the most recent mileage figure of 79,221 miles logged on the CARFAX report in December 2021.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The direct-injection biturbo M278 4.7-liter V8 was rated at 402 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque when new. The CARFAX report shows that regular oil changes have been performed over the life of the vehicle, with the most recent one carried out about 2,000 miles ago in December 2021; the seller states that an oil change will take place prior to the sale. The battery was replaced in March 2022. Additionally, the engine mounts, transmission mounts, brake fluid, air filter, and spark plugs were replaced in 2019. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a column- or paddle-shifted seven-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping power comes from four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with vented rotors. Mercedes-Benz's Electronic Stability Program (ESP) came as standard equipment on this model.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report shows two accidents on record. The first occurred in May 2015 and caused damage to the front of the vehicle; the second in August 2016 involved minor damage to the left rear of the car.
@Tabor – A few pictures show either scratch’s on the exterior doors or maybe road reflections. Is there body damage? Thanks. ...
