Comments & Questions

A very nice looking car. A few questions on the engine. I’m pretty familiar with the 66 Impala SS. having owned one. Standard SS came with the 327/275 h.p. There were 2 other 327s used in 66. A 327/300 h.p. (normally in the muscle cars, Chevelle Malibu, etc.) & a 327/350 h.p. In the Corvette Stingray. I noticed the aftermarket air filter cover sticker noting 327/325 h.p. Is the 327 engine original with “enhancements” of headers, aftermarket carb., etc. that raise the h.p. rating to 325 or is it a different year where the 337/350 h.p. was detuned to 325 h.p.?
